Sharrell Boyles

Hello, I am Sharrell. I am the mother of four children. Three of them are grown and flown young adults who are pursuing their lives. The youngest is 12 and she keeps me young. Being a mom has been the most significant role in my life. I feel that nothing I ever accomplish will top being a mother. However, I am looking forward to having an opportunity as a grandmother. While I am not originally from Denver, January marks my 20th year here. I grew up in the military and this is the longest I have lived anywhere. So, Colorado is home. I love to experience all that Colorado has to offer such as snowboarding, hiking or just enjoying the great outdoors with beautiful scenery and weather. Children have always been my passion. Over the past 25 years, I have held a position in early childhood education with many different roles within the field. Some of those roles were assistant teacher, lead teacher, infant/toddler supervisor, mentor teacher and special educator, among others. My undergraduate degree is in speech, language and hearing sciences with a minor in early childhood education. About 6 years ago I completed my master’s degree in early childhood special education. Since then, I have held several roles with Sewall Child Development Center which is an inclusive preschool program for all children. Within this program, I was allowed to explore early intervention in a classroom setting. I have found my place in EI. I love helping families understand early developmental milestones and supporting, encouraging and giving hope for success by sharing strategies to help them meet the goals they want for their families. In this new role with Talking Together, I am looking forward to the opportunity to build stronger relationships with families and growing as an early interventionist.
