Hi!  I'm Angie Carey - I'm super excited to be joining the Talking Together team as an ECSE!!  I began my career as a service coordinator in 2006; time sure flies!

I have been working as an ECSE in an intensive needs preschool setting since early 2020 (yes, right before Covid began!) and have been loving it.  I began my ECSE career within APS in a more itinerant role, but prefer the teaming approach.  In my current role in CCSD, I partner with an SLP and a Gen Ed teacher, along with a social worker, PT and OT.  Our approach is highly transdisciplinary, which has been wonderful for our students.   While I thoroughly enjoy working with my preschool friends, I have been missing the consistent connections with families and kiddos birth-3.  

Personally, I live in Parker, have been married for nearly 20 years (coming up in 2 weeks!) and have 2 wonderful kiddos, one of whom just graduated high school.  I enjoy all things on the more holistic side, going on walks on the Cherry Creek Trail with my hubby and our super sweet Golden Retriever, Cooper, and watercoloring with my daughter.  We also have a cat, Harmony whom I enjoy snuggling with when she allows it.  I would love to find a way to connect animals to my work in some fashion; I adore them.  We are hoping to rescue another dog in the near future; whenever the timing is right!
